Stopped here for breakfast/lunch while visiting the area with some friends. We went around 10:30 on a Tuesday and there was only a short wait. I imagine it gets very busy on the weekends though. The inside of the restaurant is very unique. The whole place has a picturesque retro vibe. Our server was friendly and prompt. The kitchen made a small mistake with one of our plates and he fixed it immediately for us. For food we all got the Fried Chicken & various sides. The chicken was very good, so moist and juicy! The sides were good as well. I liked the Mac & Cheese, but some of our group thought it was too dry and wasn't saucy enough. Fries and Onion Rings were nice and crispy. One of our group got a side of pancakes - there were very good as well! Overall it was a good experience and a solid meal.

I have been here more times than I can count, and it's consistently great! Definitely a staple in my rotation of LA faves.

I'm used to coming here early in the morning when it's not very crowded and there are plenty of parking spots. This time we came during lunch time and it was impossible to find parking in their lot. Also, there was a wait of about 20 minutes to be seated. I usually order fried chicken and waffles, hash browns, or country fried steak. Today I tried the pork chops and they were fantastic. The homestyle mashed potatoes with gravy were tasty and the cole slaw was sweet with pieces of pineapple. It's easy to see why this place has been around so long and why it's popular with locals and tourists alike. Our server Maximiliana and the other workers were helpful, attentive, and accommodating. All in all, we had a wonderful lunch.

So so good! My French toast was DELICIOUS! I make homemade French toast too so I know quality when I taste it. My Chicken was cooked to perfection as well. My family also enjoyed their plates. The Service was great and we visited on Sunday. There was a short wait (10 Minutes) and we were in. Loved the vibe of the place. They had nice music playing in the background and I like all the pictures of celebrity visitors on the wall; it's a nice touch.

tried out Pann's this morning for a huge breakfast. ordered the country fried steak with hashbrowns and sunny side up eggs, and then french toast with bacon and scrambled eggs. also got the watermelon cooler drink. both meals were great!! the french toast was the best because I hadn't had it in over 3 years lol!! the country fried steak was good and had a nice crisp to it, with the flavor being on point. the drink was good but it was a bit too sweet, but putting some water in it helped. the waiter was nice and it only took like 30 seconds to get a table despite it being super busy.

We have passed by this diner many times going down La Cienega and have always been curious about it. Just recently we stopped by for brunch (with almost no wait!) and were lucky enough to snag one of the few remaining parking spots in the small lot. Inside there are both counter and booth seating available and upon walking in, it feels as if we'd travelled back in time to an old school diner seen on an old tv show or movie. Although it has a retro vibe, the place was clean, comfortable and seemed to be well maintained. I ordered the chicken and waffles and it felt like a big portion for one person. The chicken wings were hot, flavorful and juicy with a slight crisp on the outside. The waffle was fluffy and thick but lacked the crispiness I was looking for. The hash browns were ok but could have been crispier. Next time I will try to ask for them to be crispier to see how it turns out. Overall this is a good solid spot for breakfast. The service was good, our waiter was attentive, funny and always checked up on us. I can see why this diner is a local favorite and hopefully this place is another LA institution that will continue to stay around for years to come!

This was a great little diner. The food was actually delicious...very simple diner food and it hit the spot! I ordered a Denver omelette with a side of tomatoes and it was refreshing and filling. My group also ordered mimosas, salmon croquettes and grits. We had absolutely no complaints about the food or the service, our waiter was very attentive despite the place feeling packed! Another surprising thing was the fact that we didn't have to wait to be seated...it didn't seem like there were any tables, but they found one for us and were was no wait at all. The parking here sucks though--the restaurant itself is in a really congested area and there are only about 20 parking spots for a restaurant that seats probably 150. It's oddly located on a block that has access on all 4 sides, so if you can't get into the crowded parking lot, you're likely blocking a lane in the street waiting to enter. A lot of people were parking across the street in the Ralphs parking lot and walking over. Aside from the parking, this is an iconic location that's been in several movies and it's a good experience with good food!

OLD SCHOOL DINER HITS THE SPOT! We were looking for alternative brunch options around LAX because Roscoe's was hoppin' a lil too much this day. Quite a few options but Pann's yelpiness seemed strong so off we went! Small parking lot but we scored a spot luckily. No street parking unfortunately. Of note, there is more mall parking across the street so just gotta foot it a bit, to get here. Little bit of a wait to get in, that's alright though because 10 min is way better than an 1 hour!! What I wasn't ready for, was how retro cool the interior was. Really classic diner vibe is ROCKIN' and we got seated at one the round booths too! Awesome! Our server was absolutely splendid throughout and food came out quick! Oh yeah!!! Smells gooood... let's eat! WAFFLE & FRIED CHICKEN: Pann's has the more classic style of waffle, compared to the thin & soft one at Roscoe's. I actually prefer that way when it's done properly, which Pann's does to perfection... thick waffle with a slight crispness to the outer shell but light & fluffy inside. The fried chicken pieces (Bone-In with Drumstick & Thigh) have a yummy good crunch followed by juicy succulent meat inside. Legit! Pann's does this dish their own way and it is definitely worth sampling! COUNTRY FRIED STEAK: Nothing out of a box here, House made! Big cut of steak, battered & deep fried. Steak is thick and tender. Batter is crispy good and not overly greasy. Sausage gravy is thick and flavorful. Wifey got grits and over medium eggs with sourdough toast. Definitely a Worthy breakfast to indulge in! HOTCAKE PLATE (3 pancakes, 2 eggs, pork sausage patties): FLUFFY is a perfect way to describe the pancakes here. The kid was craving pancakes and this certainly hit the spot for him. 3 big sausage patties and scrambled eggs to round out his order made him hit food coma as soon as he sat back down in our transport lol! STRAWBERRY SHAKE: ABSOLUTELY DELICIOUS! I'd order this EVERY TIME we visit this place in the future! Thick shake with strawberry chunks in every bite. Nothing powdery fake here, this is the real deal. Then they top it off with strawberry chunks on top so ask for a spoon! Shoulda got one to go! VERY EASY RECOMMENDATION! I know this is blasphemy to post, but we will look to hit Pann's over Roscoe's any time we are in the hunt for brekkie in the area in the future. Enjoy :)
